Visas & Arrival
Citizens of many countries can travel visa-free; most others can apply online for the unified Russian e-visa (valid for tourism and business trips of up to 16 days) or a classic tourist visa. Tell us your nationality — we will explain the best option and issue an official invitation if needed.
We meet every guest at the airport or railway station with a name sign and a comfortable car or bus. Kazan, Moscow, St Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod are connected by frequent flights and fast trains, and we book all tickets for you.
Hotels register foreign guests automatically. If you stay in a private apartment, we will help you with the registration.
Money & Connectivity
Cards issued outside Russia often do not work in Russian ATMs and shops. We recommend bringing cash in US dollars, euros or other major currencies and exchanging it at banks, or asking us about local payment options. Tour services are paid by bank transfer before arrival — no online prepayment needed.
Compared with Western Europe, hotels, restaurants and transport are generally good value. We will give you an idea of daily budgets for each city.
Yes, international roaming works, and you can buy a local SIM card with your passport. Free Wi-Fi is available in most hotels, cafés and many public places.
Seasons & What to Pack
May to September is warm and green — perfect for river trips and the white nights of St Petersburg in June. Winter (December–February) is snowy and magical, with New Year festivities; bring warm clothes. Spring and autumn are quiet and good value.
Shoulders and knees should be covered. Women are asked to cover their hair in mosques and Orthodox churches — scarves are usually available at the entrance.
Our cities are generally safe for tourists. As anywhere, keep an eye on your belongings in crowded places. Your guide and manager are always a phone call away.
Food & Culture
Echpochmak (triangle pies with meat and potato), chak-chak (fried dough with honey), gubadiya (layered sweet pie) and Tatar tea. In Cheboksary try khuplu meat pie, and everywhere in Russia — pelmeni, blini and borscht.
Yes. In Kazan and across Tatarstan halal food is easy to find, and we can arrange halal meals in every city of your programme.
Privet — hello; Spasibo — thank you; Pozhaluysta — please. In Tatar: Isänmesez — hello, Rähmät — thank you. Locals will be delighted if you try!
